Well Unloading (Nitrogen Lifting)

CT Nitrogen Lift

Nitrogen lifting is a widely used technique to whether initiate or revive production of a well following a workover or intervention work. Coiled tubing intervention is an effective way to treat a well with high hydrostatic pressure that created by the fluid column by pumping nitrogen gas through it at optimum depth and rate.

As wellbore fluid is unloaded that cause the pressure exerted on the reservoir decreases subsequently let the well capable of flowing the hydrocarbon naturally.

Why Nitrogen? Nitrogen is an inert (non-reactive) gas that can recover the wellbore and produced fluid safely to surface without causing damage to the formation. As it is a safe and easily accessible gas, it has been used widely in the oilfield industry.
